CSU Swing Society Officers

Meet your CSU Swing Society officers for the 2020-2021 school year and officers from previous years! These are the people that organize the lessons and dances every week and organize special events. They are happy to answer any questions you have, so look for them at the next dance. Feel free to ask them for a dance as well!

Secretary (2017-present)

Heather Braun

I am a 4th year student majoring in theatre arts. I got into swing dancing in 2017 and has been dancing since. One of my favorite past times is coming up with new ways to do a move that could end up being silly or actually working out to look like a cool move. As a captain of the Blam! team, I am focused on gaining more interest for the club and putting together a fun routine for this years competition.

Treasurer (2019-present)

Sonali Chockshi

Wes will soon be described.

What's up y'all, my name is Andy Rohlf. I am an Ecosystem Science and Sustainability major here at CSU and a huge lover of swing dancing and dancing in general. I grew up in Summit County Colorado where I first learned to swing dance from a couple good friends of mine who have been swing dancing for over 25 years. I competed with Blam! in 2019 and is was an absolute blast and I would definitely recommend it if you have the time. I also dance a little bachata, blues and waltz when I feel like mixing things up.

Tech Officer (2017-20)

Tyler Engle

Heya! My name is Tyler Engle! Before CSU my dance skills consisted of moon walking and jumping up and down, but I decided I needed to join a club and this seemed like a fun thing to do and went by myself to a swing dance. While being scared that I knew no one there, I immediately fell in love with CSU Swing and the Lindy Hop and haven’t stopped coming since. This club has introduced me to other styles of dance such as blues, salsa, fusion, and zouk, as well as some amazing people and now close friends. I’ve also now been on CSU Swing’s competitive swing dancing group, BLAM! for two years now and have had the wonderful opportunity to work with some amazing dancers. In between all this dancing I like to study Computer Engineering, as well as bike, game, and draw. If you see me around, say Hi! I’d love tomeet you!

Vice President (2017-20)
